For years, BlackBerry has been a synonym of a brand targeted at demanding business customers. Unfortunately, the company’s problems led to a withdrawal from the smartphone market. Starting Today, dozens of BlackBerry OS models of this brand have become unusable. Owners of these devices will have to switch to newer equipment, which cannot be avoided if someone requires access to the basic functions of a smartphone.There is also no option to send and receive SMSs, data transmission, use the application or use the Wi-Fi module. Access to a long list of software will disappear, including, for example, BlackBerry Link or BlackBerry Messenger (here, however, only for ordinary customers – corporate customers will still be able to use it). The manufacturer points out that users of its equipment must move to other devices. It is also recommended to back up your data, access to which may be lost.
From January 4, 2022, owners of devices running BlackBerry 7.1 OS or earlier, BlackBerry 10 or BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 or earlier lost access to the mass of basic services. Equipment running on unsupported systems will not allow making cellular calls, including emergency numbers. This is already a big problem, but the list doesn’t end there.
