Developers will have to use Xcode 14.1 or newer to submit apps to App Store starting April 25

Apple will now require developers to use Xcode 14.1 or newer to submit apps to App Store. Requirements will be enforced starting April 25, 2023.

This update might affect existing CI/CD pipelines or apps being built with previous Xcode releases. Development teams now have a month to verify that codebases are compatible with modern SDKs and Xcode.

Apple will require Xcode 13 for App Store submission starting April 25

Apple announced that starting April 25, 2022 all submissions to App Store should be using new SDKs and Xcode 13.

Starting April 25, 2022, iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS apps submitted to the App Store must be built with Xcode 13, which includes the SDKs for iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and watchOS 8.

App Store now accepts app submissions during holidays

Apple made an announcement this year App Store Connect will be accepting app and update submissions during holidays.

This year, we’re pleased to continue accepting submissions in App Store Connect throughout the upcoming holidays. Make sure your apps are up to date and ready for the busiest season on the App Store. Due to anticipated high volume, plan to send time-sensitive submissions early. Please note that reviews may take longer to complete from November 24 to 28 and December 23 to 27.
